Pros and cons of DrumLibrary app for iPhone and iPad

DrumLibrary app good for

This app features a great metronome with all kinds of time signatures. It has all basic rudiments and some hybrids. great app. It has some pretty great exercises and grooves too all seconds away on your itouch or iphone.
Ive been looking for a drum app like this for a long time. The beats are written large enough that you can read them if your iphone is on a music stand and adding the audio feature was a great update. Now i can listen to how the grooves should sound. Ive wasted my money on so many others. Thanks and keep the updates coming!
Im definitely impressed, especially at the independents exercises....WHY DIDNT I THINK OF THIS!!!!
This is a very useful app. It is good for learning a bunch of cool beats, and it has a metronome.
I must say without a doubt, one of the best applications for drummers. Above and beyond customer support that went the extra mile to make sure that it worked right on the new OS. I cant thank the maker enough and I am sure that whomever tries it, will feel the same way. A very nice production. And it will only get better!
This app is fantastic but I must ask that you add snare grooves! With JUST snare. I really think this would complete the app! However its still amazing lol

Some bad moments

Nice grooves - but when you change the tempo, the pitch of the drums changes too... That sounds very Bad!
I want to like this more, but its got a lot of shortcomings. It feels like someone rushed it to market and cut a lot of corners. Its too bad because its a good start. Pros: -Nice having the rudiments easily accessible, with recorded examples and tempo options -The metronome is pretty user-friendly and intuitive -Having grooves to play to/against is a nice idea Cons: -The drum sounds are really cheeseball, like an 80s casio toy -When you increase the tempo of a groove or rudiment, the pitch of the recorded sounds increases too -When you put your iPod Touch in sleep mode to turn off the display (saving battery) while playing to the metronome or exercises, the metronome becomes erratic and the exercises trail off and stop. -There arent many grooves (for Afro-Cuban there is only one example) -Often there arent recorded examples, just a metronome option (eg., the Independence and Breaks exercises) -You cant change the sound of the metronome (eg. to a cowbell)
It has a lot of rudiments...which is great, but there are more that arent in here, and it plays the rolls as like quarter note rolls..if they made that like an actual roll(32nd notes)and made more sounds for the hybrids and added more hybrids too, I would love this a million times more than I already do. Its still pretty good though. Soo Ive been using this for a long time, like 2 years now, and this app has gotten worse. I recently downloaded the "lite version" and its better than the one I paid for. This version cant speed up the rudiments anymore like it used to, and like the lite can, this doesnt have as many sounds as the lite(pataflafla specifically...), so yeah. This desperately needs an update, and more like a downgrade for this because honestly these past updates have made the app worse. We need a way to play the rudiment faster than at a quarter note beat. Thats so ridiculously slow, that doesnt even help you learn it. My rating will go back up of they fix this thing.
I used to have the lite version and purchased better? App. It has many more rudiments and info, but if you cant increase the tempo like you can in the free version its not near as helpful as it could be. I love the concept but went back to the free/lite version for practice. I would love to use the full version with this one change!!!! Is it that big of a deal to make it for all of us that are requesting it? Im waiting!!!!!!!!!
I have comment on this app multiple times saying that the audio for certain this are bad. Im a college student. This app is only helpful if I dont use the audio. If I try to show a student it and they listen to the sound they will learn it wrong. Dont buy this app. It isnt worth it. When they decide to actually work on this app I will give them a better review.
